Our aim is to make this a weekly practice, held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We’ll start by building a core group — once there is sufficient support, we’ll move towards a regular schedule. Waiyu Wake is an open movement practice where the intelligence of the moment leads, guiding you to move, breathe, rest, or release however you need. It draws from personal experience, movement medicine, ecstatic dance, somatic dance, breath-work, shamanic traditions, yoga, meditation and other traditions and modalities, woven into its own unique practice. It's a practice that meets you wherever you are. A time and space to move freely, connect with yourself and others, and let whatever needs to move through you find its way out, whether that's joy, grief, or something unnamable. The practice is simple yet powerful. You show up, you listen, you move and let the magic happen. Soft mats, yoga mats, shakti mats, yoga blocks and other supports will be available to use however serves you—whether that's resting your body, stretching deeper, or exploring new ways to move or release. Very welcome to bring your own to use or share!
